Gas and crude oil prices continue to set new records on a nearly daily basis. According to Triple-A, California has the highest average priced gas in the nation at 5.44 a gallon for regular. The current average in San Luis Obispo County is 5.60 a gallon and Santa Barbara County is 5.40 a gallon for regular. Officials believe prices will continue to rise while the war in Ukraine continues.
