Lompoc Police arrested a 19-year-old man over the weekend on suspicion of several felonies. It happened Saturday night at around 10 p.m. on North L Street. A man was pointing a gun at residents and demanding their vehicles. One victim told officers that the man pointed a gun at his head and tried to pull the trigger. The victim escaped and called 911. Jonathan Garcia found another victim and got away with her car. Police caught up with him after a high-speed chase that ended on North D Street. A loaded firearm was found in the vehicle. Garcia was booked on several charges including attempted homicide.
