A recycled water project for the Five Cities area is moving forward. According to KSBY, the Central Coast Blue project would take treated wastewater from Pismo Beach, run it through a three-step purification process, and return it to two wells in Oceano and two in Grover Beach. The plan is to provide 900 acre-feet of additional water annually. Construction of the treatment plant will begin late next year.
