PG&E has set aside more than 1,000 acres near Diablo Canyon to protect it from future development. According to PG&E, the protected land surrounds the Point San Luis Lighthouse near Avila Beach and stretches north and east of the coastline. A recorded deed restriction includes sustainable public access while preventing any development in the future.
