Storms Have Positive Affect On Local Reservoirs

Recent storms have had a positive impact on Central Coast reservoirs. The Salinas Dam at Santa Margarita Lake is overflowing. Lopez Lake, which supplies water for the Five Cities area jumped from 22 percent capacity to nearly 44 percent. Lake Nacimiento saw huge gains and reported 73 percent capacity. And for the first time in a decade, The Bureau of Reclamation will release water over the Lake Cachuma spillway this morning.
