Winter Storm Damage Reaches 26.5 Million Dollars

The numbers are still be tallied, but so far San Luis Obispo County officials say, this year’s winter storms caused at least 26.5 million dollars in road damage alone. This week, the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved using 6 million dollars of general fund reserves for road repair. According to the Tribune, the county expects repairs to total 36 million dollars. Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Highway Administration will likely reimburse about 66% of that total.
