A Lompoc man has admitted to intentionally crashing his plane for Youtube clicks. In a plea deal, Trevor Jacob plead guilty to one count of destruction and concealment of evidence with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation. On November 24, 2021 he took off from Lompoc Airport, supposedly headed to Mammoth. Prosecutors say he intentionally crashed his plane in the Los Padres National Forest near Santa Maria. According to the Tribune, he’s facing a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
