SLO Firefighters Respond To Dryer Fire

San Luis Obispo City firefighters responded to a dryer fire at Cal Poly Monday night. When crews arrived, they found the flames had already been extinguished. Firefighters helped with smoke removal. No injuries were reported. Officials say the incident should be a reminder to clean out the lint from their dryer. The U.S. Fire Administration says that every year, an average of 2,900 home clothes dryer fires cause an estimated five deaths, 100 injuries and $35 million in property damage.
