A weekend outing with friends and family at Lake Nacimiento turned tragic. Monterey County Parks Rangers are investigating the death of a Santa Barbara woman. Officials say, on June 9th 57-year-old Luz Ruiz was being towed on a tube behind a personal watercraft when she fell into the water. She was unresponsive. An off-duty EMT performed CPR until first responders arrived. According to the Tribune, the San Luis Obispo County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
