Santa Maria Police and Fire departments are investigating an explosion that injured four people yesterday afternoon. It happened at around 12:10 on the 1200 block of Jackie Lane. The explosion turned the home into rubble. It also blew windows out of several surrounding homes. Firefighters doused the flames of a subsequent fire. The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
