Two Confirmed Human West Nile Cases In SLO County

The San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department has confirmed two SLO County residents have contracted West Nile Virus. One of the residents is the first to contract the mosquito-born virus in the county. State health officials say they have seen 244 human cases of West Nile in California, a 38 percent increase from last year. According to a press release, Local health officials say the risk to the public remains very low.
