Pacific Pipeline Company, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil has withdrawn it’s permitting application to build a replacement crude oil pipeline through Santa Barbara County. Company officials said in a withdrawal letter that the “potential environmental impacts associated with the major construction of a second pipeline unnecessary and avoidable.” They will instead focus on repairing and restarting an existing pipeline.
