Residents living in and around Cayucos might see or smell smoke this week. Cal Fire SLO plans to conduct a prescribed burn beginning this morning at around 9:45. Officials say the controlled burn is an important tool to help minimize fire hazards and the likelihood of uncontrolled potential wildfires. The controlled burns are scheduled through Friday.
