Bird Watchers Flock To The Central Coast

Hundreds of bird watchers have flocked to the Central Coast for the Morro Bay Bird Festival. Organizers say this year’s festival has drawn more than 700 attendees from across the country. Morro Bay is considered one of the most important habitats along the Pacific Flyway. More than 200 types of birds can be found here during the winter. Participants will spend the next five days at more than 200 events that include photography, hiking, and kayaking the Morro Bay Estuary to spot the wide variety of birds in the area.
