Morro Bay residents attended a public forum yesterday to discuss new city regulations regarding homeless camping. The ordinances were passed in December of last year. Now camping on public property, where allowed, may only happen over a 24-hour period. There are other restrictions, such as, no camping within 200 feet of a residence, school, or visitor-serving commercial area. Officials say more forums are planned for the near future.
