The unhoused population in Santa Maria now has a stepping stone to permanent housing. On Saturday, City officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the 94-room Hope Village. It’s designed as an interim supportive housing community for veterans, recently released hospital patients without homes, and former foster children needing help transitioning from the system.
