Santa Maria Police have been talking with members of the unhoused community, informing them of resources that are available to them. Yesterday, The City sent a crew to clean up a homeless encampment along the railroad tracks. Railroad officials say the encampments pose a danger to anyone who lives there when a train goes by. City officials say they will continue to help the unhoused community seek help from a number of local resources.
