San Luis Obispo’s mass transit fleet is about to get bigger. The San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority currently has two electric buses with six more on the way. According to KSBY, the City Council has approved the addition of two more new electric buses. The Innovative Clean Transit regulation requires mass transit agencies across California to be 100 percent zero-emission by 2040. City officials believe San Luis Obispo’s bus fleet should be fully electric by 2026.
