Grover Beach police say a 62-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder over the weekend. The incident started Sunday evening when Steven Tomis collided with another vehicle. When officers tried to make contact with Tomis he tried to drive away. That’s when he steered his 1974 Ford pickup head-on into a patrol vehicle. He’s facing several charges including attempted murder and DUI.
