A 70-year-old pilot came up a little short of his intended runway last night. Lompoc police investigators say the crash happened at about 9:15 near the Lompoc Airport. The pilot was on final approach when he crashed on North ‘H” Street. By the time police arrived, the pilot was already out of the plane. The N.T.S.B. and F.A.A. are conducting investigations into the cause. The pilot, luckily, only suffered minor injuries.
