An Arroyo Grande man, accused of torturing his foster mother is headed to prison. 38-year-old Matthew Ehens entered a plea of no contest to two felony charges of torture and elder abuse. Prosecutors say, in August of 2019 Ehens poured boiling peanut oil on his 79-year-old foster mother, before stabbing her in the back with a kitchen knife. He’s facing eight years to life in prison when he’s sentenced next month.
