A deadly highway interchange is finally getting a makeover. Caltrans broke ground on the Cholame “Y” this week. According to a press release, the 148 million dollar project will bring a flyover interchange to the infamous Cholame “Y” crossing. It will carry drivers over Highway 46 and merge them onto Highway 41, headed toward Fresno. The interchange is one of two major upgrades to the area that will be completed in about three years.
