Cal Poly’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Small Business Development Center handed out more than 216,000 dollars to the winners of an annual event. The AngelCon Pitch Competition winners included six companies that hoped to provide high-tech solutions to real-life problems. The winners included Little Feet Packaging, a company that produces bubble wrap from recycled paper. A company that produces alternative feminine hygiene products, and a company that produces a radar detection system that mounts on trash trucks to detect lithium-ion batteries before they reach the landfill.
