The list of illicit drugs and weapons seized since January of this year is a larger than the entire year of 2023. That’s the word from San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Ian Parkinson. According to a press release, since January, the Special Operations Unit of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has conducted more than 50 investigations, served 100 search warrants, and seized 55 pounds of drugs, 149 firearms and even a flame thrower. Sheriff Parkinson said his department has sent a clear message that illegal activities will not be tolerated.
