A suspect is hospitalized and an officer-involved shooting investigation is underway. It started yesterday afternoon with a call about a reckless driver and several traffic collisions near Vandenberg Village. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies caught up with the driver on the 600 block of Mercury Avenue. According to Sheriff’s officials, what happened immediately after the deputies made contact with the suspect is under investigation. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
